Abstract

There is a globally held perception that the low carbon green growth is the most major environmental issue, and it is urgently needed to introduce the pertinent policy in South Korea which ranks in the top 10 of the OECD nations in the amount of green house gasses (GHGs) emission. Then South Korea should make a long term plan of the nation regarding GHG and energy consumption to develop a systematic package of low-carbon technologies and strategies in the road transport sector itself which has the high potential to reduce GHGs. The goal of the green technologies planned in this study is to decrease the amount of CO2 emission for the lift cycle of a road by above 40% in comparison with existing one. In addition, it is expected to have the production and supply technologies of New & Renewal Energy.
