Abstract
Pressure gradient refers to the change in pressure per unit length in the direction of fluid flow. In oilfield production, the pressure gradient is directly related to seepage velocity and swept volume, the key targets of our analysis to ensure high and stable crude oil output. In nature, many solutions, such as extraction-based production, good control of the extraction difference, amplification of production pressure drawdown, water injection against the cap, fracturing, acidification, plug removal and profile control, are to adjust pressure gradient. In this paper, the relationship between pressure gradient and see page velocity and swept volume is investigated, points are drawn up for analysis in the investigation, and its application value is discussed in combination with oilfield development practice.
