Abstract
In order to improve the driving safety of the high-altitude highway tunnel entrance section, the physiological changes of drivers passing through the tunnel entrance section under a hypoxic environment were studied. Build a low-oxygen environment and conduct real vehicle tests to collect test data such as illumination, vehicle speed, and heart rate. The single factor analysis method was used to test the significant differences in the data, to analyze the influence of the illumination and speed on the heart rate growth rate at the entrance of the tunnel, and to establish a relationship model between the illumination, and speed and heart rate growth rate. The results show that: the sharp change of illumination intensity at the entrance of the tunnel causes the heart rate growth rate to increase significantly, and the heart rate growth rate fluctuates gently after the illumination becomes stable; the vehicle speed and heart rate growth rate before and after the tunnel entrance are significantly different. When the vehicle speed decreases, the growth rate of heart rate gradually increases; the growth rate of heart rate reaches a peak value of 35.83% within 50m of the tunnel opening; the low oxygen environment leads to a higher growth rate of the driver’s heart rate, which is not conducive to driving safety. The research results can provide a certain reference for traffic safety control at the entrance of high-altitude highway tunnels.
