Thiele Kaolin appoints RaKeM as UK agent

RaKeM Limited, based in Bolton, has been appointed as the UK agent for Thiele Kaolin Company of Sandersville, Georgia, USA. RaKeM will provide representation for Thiele Kaolin's full range of clays for coated paper, board and other industries. RaKeM replaces Sachtleben, Thiele's previous UK representative.

Thiele Kaolin Company recently announced a $40 million plus expansion plan to support its growing sales. Thiele is a leading producer of tailored coating and filler pigments for the paper industry, as well as for other key industries.

RaKeM Limited, established in January 1997, was borne out of the Sachtleben UK Sales Office. RaKeM acts as agent and distributor for Sachtleben's range of Hombitan titanium dioxide (anatase and rutile), zinc sulphide pigments, Blanc Fixe and Barytes Fillers.
