Title: Built-in flow dividerApplicant: Metallpromservis AOZT (RU)Patent number: RU2313032Publication date: December 20, 2007

AbstractField

Metallurgy, metal cutting machine-tools, industrial robots and other machines and mechanisms in different industries.

Substance: proposed divider is designed for continuous delivery of accurately metered out amounts of “oil-air” lubricating materials to heavy-loaded bearing supports of rolling mills and lubricating systems of metallurgical equipment. Built-in flow divider has housing with inlet space connected through constant-resistance channels with outlet spaces. Housing is made in form of bushing with axial channel provided with diaphragm arranged at equal distances from bushing end faces and forming with bushing inlet and outlet spaces. Other outlet space is made in form of ring groove found on outer surface of bushing in zone of diaphragm. Constant-resistance channels are made in diaphragm. Moreover, additional ring groove for seal is made on outer surface of bushing from side of first outlet space.

EffectReduced overall dimensions and improved efficiency of lubrication and cooling of bearing units.

Title: Parallel kinematic deviceApplicant: Franz Ehrenleitner (AT)Patent number: CN101072661Publication date: November 14, 2007

AbstractThe invention relates to the kinematic connection of a fixed platform to a mobile platform comprising up to six degrees of freedom in closed kinematic chains (parallel kinematics), the connecting elements being rods (actuators) of adjustable length, optionally consisting partially of rods of a constant length (passive rods) and optionally cables. The invention is characterised in that three connecting elements of this type engage with a common point of one of the platforms, forming a triple point. In embodiments of the invention, said triple point can be configured as a pseudo-triple point to produce a simple mechanical configuration, without losing the advantages of the invention. The inventive kinematics can be used for lifting tables, tackle for overhead conveyors, lifting robots, articulated arm-type robots, excavators, mills, cutting devices, etc.

Title: System for the automatic application of self-adhesive protective film to vehicle bodiesApplicant: Daimler Chrysler AG (DE)Patent number: US2007284046Publication date: December 13, 2007

AbstractAn automatic application system for self-adhesive protective film to vehicle bodies is disclosed. Two separate application stations are provided, of which one application station contains two pairs and the other contains one pair of stationary industrial robots arranged opposite each other for the joint handling and application of one piece of film in each case. As a result, it is possible to stick all the body parts simultaneously within the cycle time. In each case, one robot of a pair of robots contains in its application tool the holder for a supply roll and a cutting device, whereas the opposite application robot of this pair of robots carries a suction strip. For the accurate-contour perforation of a stretched-out piece of film, the latter is moved along a stationary perforating tool. Arranged close to the robot is a magazine for a plurality of supply rolls, from which the application robot automatically picks up a supply roll as required. The supply rolls are relatively small and can contain the film needed for about 100-200 application procedures. Each supply roll can be provided with a disposable core made of hard paperboard or plastic.

Title: Cap-cutting tool for vehicle industry welding robots, has spring-loaded rod which can be lowered into holder recess by drive unit under automatic controlApplicant: Karmann GMBH W (DE)Patent number: DE102006028849Publication date: December 27, 2007

AbstractA spring-loaded rod can be lowered into the recess in the holder. It is held on a carrier which can be moved relative to the holder. The rod is inserted into the recess with clearance from the cap cutter axis of rotation. The rod is inserted whilst the cutter rotates relative to the holder. The carrier is connected by a pivoting axis, with the holder. It can be swung about this axis. In a slight variant, the rod carrier can be turned about an axis on the swinging carrier. The rod is spaced away from the axis of cutting tool rotation. The carrier is pivoted to the holder. The rod is connected through an intermediate spring to the carrier. The rod is installed in a bore in the carrier and passes through the spring, which bears at one end against the carrier. Its other end bears against the rod. Carrier and spring are arranged in series, with the rod bearing against the side of the carrier remote from the spring. Further details of rod and spring arrangement are included. The carrier is coupled with a controlled drive unit, which lowers the rod into the recess. The cap-cutting tool is used with a welding robot having a drive controller.

Title: Automatic machining systemApplicant: Hokkaido; Kuraray Interior KK; ENO Sangyo KKPatent number: JP2007152502Publication date: June 21, 2007

Abstract

Problem to be solved: to provide an automatic machining system that especially efficiently machines complicated shapes of wood up to the finishing while efficiently coping with limited production of diversified products, achieves an improvement of hole position precision in oblique boring, and also, performs a wide-range machining at a time in cutting machining.

Solution: the automatic machining system is composed of a plurality of manipulator-type articulated robots, a rotating tool mounted to the tip part of each of the robots, a gripping device mounted to each of the robots so as to transfer a workpiece, tool replacement bases for replacing the rotating tool and the gripping device, and a controller for controlling operations of the robots, rotation of the rotating tool, and gripping operations of the gripping device. The robots execute combinations of gripping, transferring, oblique boring, curved-face cutting machining, and curved-face polishing machining of the workpiece in a role-sharing manner so as to cooperatively execute the transferring and each machining.

Title: cut marking tool for numerically controlled machines and robots, has cutting pin, displacably mounted in housing which is in connection with two energy accumulatorsApplicant: NC Automation GMBH (DE)Patent number: DE102006022166Publication date: November 15, 2007

AbstractThe cut marking tool has a cutting pin, displacably mounted in a housing, which is in connection with two energy accumulators, independent from each other. One energy accumulator is coupled with the cutting pin by a firing pin provided with a signal-controlled control unit.
