Following two years of successful operation in the United States and Europe with the Hawker Siddeley Argosy 100 series freighter, the Avro Whitworth Division of the Company is proceeding with the production of ten ‘super’ Argosy 200 series freighters. The first of the 200 scries aircraft is now in final assembly at the Bitteswell factory and is due to make its maiden flight before the end of 1963. Argosy 200 series aircraft will be available for delivery in 1964.
