Abstract

High‐tech pipes to burst in Europe, 80% growth foreseen by 1990. Wooden tubes and lead‐lined aqueducts sufficed for the Romans, but modern Europeans — the chemical process industries in particular — require greater sophistication in pipes and fittings, notes a new study that says corrosives and higher temperature requirements are shaping in a market that is now high‐tech and will reach $7.9 billion by 1990.
