Abstract

Concluded from the April issue The shotblasting of steel plate and sections is done most economically on a continuous basis, the work being transported through the blast chamber on a roller conveyor. Monorail systems are possible (and common) for fabrications that can be carried on hooks. The monorail itself and the trolleys and drive are above the blast chamber (with only the hooks projecting through a labyrinth of strip rubber roof seals).
