Abstract

So far, in this series, we have developed several models to aid our thinking about change. One of these has been the idea that change has a dual aspect: one is the technological aspect and the other the socio‐political aspect. We have coupled this with the idea that the former is the restless forward‐probing element in man's nature and that, by contrast, the socio‐political aspect, which is enshrined within our institutions, is dragged behind, almost reluctantly, in the wake of technological change.
