The Ergonomics Society has just released the second up-dated version of its Register of Ergonomics Consultancies.
The 60-page booklet contains information on over 40 UK ergonomics consultancies, including details of specialist skills and numbers of personnel. Each company listed has been thoroughly checked by the Society to ensure it meets high professional standards.
Use of the register will enable a wide variety of UK businesses to source appropriately qualified ergonomics professionals who will abide by the Society's code of conduct.
The Ergonomics Society issued its first register of consultancies in 1997 following concerns that ergonomics work was being carried out by those not suitably qualified. Chairman of the Society, Ed Marshall, said: "The Register ensures that those organisations which use listed consultants can be confident they are getting good advice".
