In memory of Bonnie Roach, Associate Editor

Dr Bonnie Roach began her term as AJB Associate Editor in 2012–2013 academic year and provided dedicate service until her sudden passing in the Summer of 2019. Bonnie was a Professor at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio and began her career there in August 1988. She held a PhD in Human Resources and a JD, teaching and conducting research in intersection of these two fields. Her background also put her in a special place as an associate editor with the AJB. She handled a mix of articles which were sometimes HR related, business law related, business social issues and a wide variety in between. We appreciated her willingness to accept these responsibilities and here dedication to helping authors refine their submissions.

Bonnie was such a pleasant person to work with. She was always happy and ready to help with anything we needed. When the AJB Editorial Board would meet Bonnie was always cheerful, positive, and ready to laugh and make us laugh, and keep us in a positive frame of mind. She had her special way and special shoes. She had her favorite friends, her cats. When we had on-line meetings her cats would be patrolling around in the background and occasionally in the foreground letting us know they were there. The cats brought a smile to many a face. Having them there reflected Bonnie’s happy, caring nature. When a new board member would meet Bonnie they were struck by her kindness and intellect. Bonnie was a special person to us all and we will miss her exuberance and cheerful engagement in our future AJB meetings.

Stepping into the future in comfort.

Respectfully, The AJB Board of Editors.
