Review on the advancement of SnS2 in photocatalysis

Abstract

SnS2 is a CdI2-type layered non-noble metal sulfide semiconductor. SnS2 has the characteristics of suitable band gap, good photochemical stability, excellent photoelectrical activity and high carrier mobility, which enable its photoelectric and photocatalytic application prospects. In this study, the progress of SnS2 application in photocatalysis is reviewed. The properties of SnS2 materials in various photocatalytic applications and related mechanisms are introduced. The main activity improvement methods of SnS2 photocatalysts and possible development directions in the future are discussed and researched.
