Novel catalysts for low-temperature combustion of diesel particulate matter

Abstract

Novel oxidation catalysts based on a series of CeO2–Pr6O11–Bi2O3 solid solutions are useful for effective combustion of diesel particulate matter at low temperatures, and the oxidation of particulate matter collected in a diesel particulate filter can be completed at as low as 345 °C.
