Summary
This chapter will analyse the Alabama Claims Commission and international legal principles that are relevant for the law on peace, including the assessment of the concept of due diligence, which came from the arbitration. It will also look at domestic commissions that allowed for individual compensation in the US, such as the Southern Claims Commission.
