Zusammenfassung

Bei vielen kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen ist der Einkauf nicht professionell aufgestellt, da es in der Regel die finanziellen aber auch zeitlichen Ressourcen nicht erlauben, klare Richtlinien und Prozesse eingebettet in der Organisationsstruktur aufrecht zu erhalten. Damit wird Einkauf als bloße Funktion angesehen, welche aus Sicht vieler Unternehmer keinen erweiterten Mehrwert für das Unternehmen ermöglicht. Diese Sichtweise entspricht jedoch nicht dem aktuellen Trend, bei welchem eine langfristige und nachhaltige Entwicklung von Lieferantenbeziehungen gekoppelt mit einem strukturierten Risiko- und Bewertungsmanagement gefordert wird. Im betreffenden Fall wurde ein Wandel von der untergeordneten Rolle des Einkaufs (Supply ) hin zu einer wichtigen Funktion durchlaufen, wobei dieser Change-Prozess aufgrund von unterschiedlichsten Erlebnissen angestoßen wurde. Ausgehend davon wurde die Möglichkeit in Anspruch genommen, unterschiedlichste Vorteile umzusetzen, welche schlussendlich zu einer Verbesserung unterschiedlichster Aspekte im Unternehmen geführt haben. Die Beziehung zu Lieferanten sollte laufend erfolgen und neben Vertrauen in diese wichtigen Stakeholder ist es auch erforderlich, die Einkaufspreise auf den Prüfstand zu stellen.
