Abstract

This chapter reviews US policies that have been proposed and passed with regard to LGBTQ+ discrimination, protections, and inclusive curriculum. Tracking bills across regions of the US (East Coast, Midwest, West Coast), Chap. 6 connects back to Chap. 2 examining how LGBTQ+ discrimination is structural in present day. The chapter ends by returning to the teacher-researcher collaborative inquiry to review resistances to discriminatory policies in elementary school classrooms.
