Abstract

Seventy Ss were divided into seven treatment groups and required to learn a list of words by serial anticipation. Three of the treatment groups learned through multiple-sense stimulation, and the other four learned through single-sense stimulation. To determine if any significant differences existed among any pairs of treatment groups, a test of significance was used. No significant differences were found. The results of the present study do not agree with any previous studies concerning the problem. Possible explanations for the results and directions for future research are offered.
