Abstract

The influence of thermal hysteresis of a clocked comparator on the quality of operation of a comparator type equivalent time sampling converter has been studied. The influence of thermal hysteresis is characterized by the noise and distortion of the converter zero line. The studies are carried out based on physical experiments and computer simulation. For physical experiments clocked comparator, based on tunnel diodes, is used. The up-and-down method is used as a sampling conversion method.
