ABSTRACT
Programs in Audiology in Asia were somewhat different from those of other countries in the U.S. and Europe since social welfare issues were often related to socioeconomic status. However, recent GNP increase and social status have made a remarkable progress in Audiology programs in some countries such as ones in India. The top priority should be given to correct and fair systems for the benefit of the hearing-impaired and for the dedicated audiology professionals.
