Determination of readiness and expectation regarding the e-learning process in first year students of vocational school of health services

Aim: The COVID-19 pandemic, which has affected the world, has also affected education and the adaptation process of students to distance education has gained importance. Materials and Methods: With this study, it is aimed to determine the readiness and expectation of the first grade students of Health Services Vocational School regarding the e- learning process. The sample of the study consists of 271 first year students in the Health Services Vocational School of a foundation university. For data collection, information form “Readiness and Expectation Scale for the E-Learning Process” which is likert type and consists 26 items is created and used by the researchers. Data analysis was evaluated with Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests. In the findings of the study, there was no significant difference according to the variables of gender and the department they studied, but a significant difference was found according to the age variable. Result: It was observed that readiness and expectation regarding the e-learning process were more meaningful in students with medium level internet use, and higher in students whose computer use  knowledge was medium and sufficient. Conclusions: In our study, the readiness and expectation scale mean scores of the students in the e-learning process were found to be high.
