Abstract

Foreign bodies in root canals are rarely seen, and usually the foreign bodies are accidently lodged and broken in root canals by the patients. Due to the difficulty of eradicating infection, foreign bodies may become sources of infection and hence they must be removed. This case report describes a clinical case in which a sewing needle was inserted into the root canal by the patient himself.

Keywords: Foreign body, Sewing needle, Root canal, Template technique.
