Abstract
Impact on the manufacturing industry by the sharing paradigm. The trend towards a sharing economy can be seen in a lot of domains. This trend is also visible in the domain of manufacturing. Production ressources are made available as a service via cloud manufacturing platforms. Assuming that this trend will continue, a huge pool of production ressources will be available in the future for the end customer. In the following article the impact of this development will be discussed by looking at three scenarios.
