Description

This article aims to reflect and promote the debate on elements related to the Brazilian educational system in the face of the new coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), in an outline of public policies and pedagogical strategies in the context of Basic Education. Although it is not yet possible to measure the real impacts caused by the pandemic, these are already felt and seen in society, requiring adaptation from all sectors to overcome the current scenario in which Brazil and the world are. To this end, we used a literature review on materials already published, not only in the educational area, but also related to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, as well as adopting an exploratory, descriptive approach. It is perceived that technology can be a great ally to mitigate the impact of the pandemic in the educational area. However, all possible strategies must be thought and reflected from different perspectives, considering, to the maximum, all the pros and cons existing so that the possible solution does not imply losses to the students' learning that perhaps are not contemplated by public policies in function of the distortions in social realities experienced by the Brazilian population.
