Abstract
The [CuL](ClO4)2 complex, L=1,4,7,10-tetrakis- (2-pyridylmethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane, was prepared in EtOH and characterized. The crystal structure of the complex was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The coordination geometry about the copper ion can be described as a strongly distorted octahedron, with CuN distances ranging from 2.01(1)–2.82(1)AÅ.
