Rethink remembers ‘forgotten generation’ of mentally ill

Practice nurses have warned they are too overloaded with work to meet the annual health checks for people with severe mental illness called for in an influential report by mental health charity Rethink. The report called for such checks for a ‘forgotten generation’ of about 50,000 long-term mentally ill who were treated years ago and are stable, but receive no follow-up care.
