Hospice benefits
Alison Day Care Development Officer, Association of Children’s Hospices. Kings House, 14 Orchard Street, Bristol BS1 5EH
Dear Editor Sue Miller’s account of the care offered to children with complex healthcare needs by children’s hospices (PN 14, 5, 33-37) appears to be based solely on the findings of Robinson and Jackson’s (1999) related to only four children’s hospices. It did not give a full account of their role and failed to understand the philosophy and practice of children’s hospices.
