Two sides of a coin

Gill Harvey , Head of Quality Improvement at the RCN

A snapshot survey off 55 medical wards, carried out by the RCN, has shown wards are so understaffed that nurses believe they are unable to give patients quality care. Gill Harvey says the government must listen if its drive for quality in the NHS is to succeed

PATIENTS, THEIR experiences and priorities, are at the heart of two RCN publications launched this week.
