Abstract

Pb/Si multilayers are prepared by rf sputtering on substrates which are cooled down by liq.N2. Clear modulation of the composition in the multilayers is confirmed by the XPS depth profile examination. The superconducting transition temperatures of the multilayers are almost 7.2K, which is close to the value of bulk Pb. The critical magnetic fields are very large values and exhibit a large anisotropy.
