Abstract

The paper shows how transducers having nonuniform properties may be represented by an equivalent circuit. The circuit is constructed by cascade connection of many fundamental equivalent circuits made up of small transmission lines and lumped elements. Under the condition that wavelengths are much longer than the small transmission lines, the fundamental circuit approximates the constitutive relation equations of a small section of the transducer. Formulation for transient calculation is performed easily by Bergeron's method. The numerical result proved to be in good agreement with the analytical solution.
