Abstract

The influence of fictional constant and hardness of a fictional material of an ultrasonic motor was investigated. Performance characteristics of the ultrasonic motor are dominated by the frictional constant of the frictional material. In particular, the velocity of the motor is in proportion to the square root of the frictional constant. Optimum range of hardness for the frictional material can be obtained experimentally.
