本論文依據電力線通訊(Power Line Communication, PLC) HomePlug 1.0標準中SAW ARQ之ACK/NACK統計量,設計一適應型封包切換機制,來降低收發機複雜度,並提升系統資料傳輸量。此機制具有估測通道狀態之功能,在通道狀況良好時,使用最長封包傳送訊息;反之在通道狀況不良時,則使用較短封包傳送訊息。模擬結果顯示我們所提出的適應型封包切換機制,在3種通道模式下分別可以提供不同程度的效益,且在第3種通道環境下,獲得的效益最大。
In order to reduce the complexity of Power Line Communication (PLC) transceiver while improving data throughput, this research proposes an adaptive packet switching scheme based on the ACK/NACK statistics of SAW ARQ used in HomePlug1.0 standard. This scheme can switch transmit packets of different lengths by means of its capability for channel estimation; longer packets will be employed in better channel condition. Experimental results obtained from 3 typical PLC channel models (CM2, CM3, CM4) indicate that the proposed adaptive packet switching scheme achieves varying degrees of improvements for transmission performances and the result of channel model 3 is among the best.
