「空性哲思」心像意涵運用於心經畫冊之視覺創作

摘要


本研究先以「西方科學對照佛學空觀」的理論為依據,探討「佛學空觀」中所蘊含「空性」之深奧意涵,再透過當代心靈導師相關文獻的蒐集與印證,研究與其創作系列作品之間的關聯性,理論與實作相互驗證,冀望將空性的本質精神生活化、美學化,適切地融入大眾日常生活當中。並意識到自己永生不滅的本質,知道自己是永恆的存在,只是現在暫時把焦點放在這物質界,能了解到這一點,就更能看清楚人生創造的歷程。 本創作研究首先釐清創作原始動機與思路;其次是對於創作主題「心經」進一步的探討,並配合相關理論及研究方法,提昇創作品質與信心,裨益創作論述與畫冊創作系列作品之品質掌握。 本研究結果發現,空性的意涵雖於文字名相上有多重的解釋,但其講述之心法意義卻可充分展現了事物的本質性及回歸性。本研究在創作上歸納出一屬於個人的視覺語彙,冀望透過作品展演的形式,引發觀賞者對此空性的本質精神生活化之關注,專注地活在此時此地,不忘記自己的「本來面目」,進而對生命的本質產生更深層的認識。當再度從更大的視野看見自己的本來面目時,你會大幅提升對此生經驗的欣賞能力,並徹底領悟「自己的一切」,然後在喜悅中,活出永恆擴展的生命!

This study first used the theoretical basis of “Western science compared to Buddhist view of emptiness” to explore the profound meaning of “emptiness” in “the Buddhist view of emptiness.” It then collected related literature from contemporary spiritual teachers for comparisons, and explored the correlation of such literature to the series of works created, in order to verify theory and practice, and further incorporate the nature and spirit of emptiness into life, aesthetics, as well as everyday life of all people. One has to realize one’s nature of everlasting existence, and knew that one could exist forever, but has temporarily placed one’s focus on this material world. Understanding of this point allows for a clearer understanding for the process of creating one’s life. This creative study first clarified the original motivations and thought paths for the creation. It then engaged in further exploration of the creative theme “The Sutra of My Heart,” complementing it with related theory and research methodology to elevate creative quality and confidence, which benefit the creative discourse and the grasp of quality of the works in the visual creation book. This study found that even though the meaning of emptiness has diverse textual explanations, the meaning of heart methods it describes can fully express the nature and returning character of things. In terms of creation, this study summarized a personal visual vocabulary. It is hoped that exhibition of the works can elicit the viewer’s concern for incorporating the nature of emptiness into one’s spiritual life, so they can focus on living in the here and now, without forgetting their “original appearance,” and in turn, gaining a more in-depth understanding for the nature of life. When one can see one’s own original appearance from a greater field of vision, one will greatly enhance the ability to appreciate experiences in this life, and fully understand “everything about yourself.” In joy, one can live a life that is infinitely expanding.
