背景和目的:安寧療護課程對護生有正面影響,故本研究目的為比較有無修習安寧療護課程,護生的死亡恐懼與態度之差異。方法:本研究以某一技術學院日二技59名應屆畢業護生為對象,在安寧療護課程結束後,施以死亡恐懼與態度之結構式問卷,所得資料進行分析。結果:1.有修習安寧療護課程的護生比沒修課護生死亡恐懼低,死亡態度正向。2.修習安寧療護課程與過去修過死亡課程,分別在恐懼自己瀕死、恐懼他人瀕死層面有交互作用,有修習安寧療護課程的護生比沒修課護生死亡恐懼較低。3.護生有無修習安寧療護課程,在討論死亡次量表達顯著差異。4.在面臨親友死亡之親密程度屬於親密之等級中,有修習安寧療護課程的護生比沒修課護生較具有正向死亡態度。結論:有修習安寧療護課程的護生比沒修課的護生死亡恐懼程度較低且在討論死亡層面的態度較正向。研究結果可做教學設計的依據,促進護生發展正向的死亡態度。
Background and Purpose: There are positive effects for students to receive the hospice program. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to compare the fear and attitude toward death for students having received the program with those without receiving it. Methods: Fifty-nine senior students of two-year registered nurses of baccalaureate science nursing (RN-BSN) were selected as subjects. A structured questionnaire for the fear and attitude toward death was used for collecting data at the end of the hospice program. Experimental data was analyzed with the aid of statistics. Results: (1) The students having received the program have less fear and more positive attitude toward death than those without receiving it. (2) The variables of if having received the hospice program or having received death courses in the past have interactions with the factor of ”fear on self dying” or ”fear on other people's dying”. The students having received the hospice program have less fear toward death than those without receiving it. (3) There is significant difference between having receiving the program and without receiving it corresponding to the scales of ”talking about death”. (4) As for the death of close friends or relatives, the students having received the program have less fear toward death than those students without receiving it. Conclusion: The students having received the program have less fear toward death and more positive attitude on ”talking about death” than those students without receiving it. The findings of this study could be the reference of curriculum design for promoting students to have positive attitude toward death.
