It has been disclosed that the Chinese translation of Saunders and Cornett's Financial Institutions Management is ridden with errors, and some textbooks on Futures and Options are spreading erroneous information. Moreover, one of them violates both the Copyright Act and academic ethics. Consequently, one of these criticized works was revoked and another one was translated by a new author. However, the plagiarist was promoted to the position of professor. Undoubtedly, such rotten academic practice will encourage further academic misconduct and undermine textbook authors' motivation to pursue sound practice. Liu (2017) disclosed a new incidence of serious violations of academic ethics that had been covered up. This article will further disclose that the translation quality of the new edition of Financial Institutions Management has not improved, although it was produced by a professor from the Economics Department of NTU.
