漫談教育力

Some Thoughts on the Force of Education

摘要


本文以「力」的物理特性為基礎,審酌教育的本質與功能,闡釋「教育力」的意涵與性質,進一步討論其類別、來源、測量及指標等相關概念與問題,則能藉概念之釐淆,探討教育力的質務應用途徑,據以提升國家的「教育力」。本文的分析指出,「力」是一種「改變狀態」的動能,故教育力的分析應兼重力的來源與效應。復以教育力兼具「價值性」、「工具性」與「整體性」,故促進個人發展與社會進步的教育功能,應作為提升教育力之依歸。本文建議:當前教育發展與變革的首要課題,在於建立教育力的指標系統,以增進教育力之可測量性,並以教育力之分析與策進,作為開展新一波教育改革的基調。

This paper intends to clarify the meaning and nature of the force of education, and, in addition, to analyze related concepts and problems. Based on the understanding of the concept of force in physics, this paper claims that the force of education, derived from the educational context and activities, is a kind of dynamic power to change the status-quo of forms and contents of education. Vaule-laden, instrumentality and integration as three main characteristics of the force of education are mentioned and discussed in this paper. Which lead to the emphasis on the effects of the force of education to improve personal development and social progress. The categories, sources, indicators and measurement of the force of education are also discussed. Finally, this paper presents a proposal for educators to build an indicator system of the force of education and open a new window for educational development and reforms.
