The main purpose of this research is to investigate the correlations between core self-evaluations and job satisfaction. Few researches in Vietnam had been done to examine the importance of core self-evaluation and its influence on job attitudes; therefore this study took Vietnamese employees as samples to investigate if personal characteristics will make a great difference between core self-evaluations and job satisfaction and if core self-evaluations have significant impact on job satisfaction. A total of 199 employees working for its Vinh Long Branch of a State-Owned Bank, called Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development, in Vietnam were sampled with a questionnaire survey. The collected questionnaire data were performed for the statistical analyses using the SPSS version 17.0. Three major hypotheses were tested by such statistical methods as descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The research results showed that only one such personal characteristic as gender will make significant differences to core self-evaluations, and no personal characteristics will make significant differences to job satisfaction. Otherwise, core self-evaluations have significant positive influence on job satisfaction. The research conclusion and suggestions are given for further research as references.
