The video shows the pulsed laser ablation of the output mirror of a laser diode. The ablating laser is a Nd:YAG frequency doubled picosecond laser (Ekspla PL2251C). The pulse energy is 100 uJ, beam diameter is 50 um, centred on the active region and the laser diode is moved at speed 60 um/s.
