This study retrospectively assessed the data of 95 patients with ARDS caused by severe pneumonia. Patients were divided into NGS group and no-NGS group. Clinical characteristics, laboratory examination, ICU cost and prognosis in the two groups were compared. Meanwhile, compared patients in NGS group, mNGS and routine detection methods had different detection efficiency for bacteria, fungi, viruses, unusual pathogens and co-infections.
