  • This study measured dissolved radon-222 activities from three locations in the Duplin River. Measurements were taken over several days in the spring/summer of 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016. Radon serves as a tracer of groundwater discharge into the Duplin. Our monitoring sites were located from the docks at Marsh Landing, Lumber Landing, and Moses Hammock. We measured radon from ~1 m deep using a continuous RAD7 (Durridge Co.) with a RAD-Aqua to degas the radon, as well as water depth using a HOBO Water Level Logger (Onset Corp).
