Comment:Lava flow in center of fissure. There are older flows present in the area, but certain it is the young flow as the older flows have much smoother surfaces. Lava is highly vesicular, sparsely plag phyric. Labeled in red sharpie. No bag, so sample is single large (baby-head sized) block. This sample was taken for whole rock analyses.
