본 연구는 농업의 노동력 절감을 위한 드론 활용의 경제성을 분석하였다. 경제성 분석은 드론 도입에 따른 손익분기 면적을 산출하였으며, 드론 활용에 따른 인식도 분석을 병행하였다. 조사는 드론을 실제 활용하고 있는 전북 지역의 농가를 대상으로 실시하였으며, 손익분기 분석은 전북의 6농가를 대상으로 심층 조사하였다. 분석결과 드론 도입의 손익분기 면적은 관행 방제 농가의 경우 33.3ha, 위탁 방제 농가의 경우 53.8ha로 산출되었다. 산출된 손익분기 면적은 드론 도입을 위한 최소 재배면적으로, 손익분기 면적보다 재배면적이 적은 농가는 드론 도입의 경제성이 없음을 의미한다. 드론 도입에 영향을 미치는 조건들에 대한 민감도를 분석한 결과, 드론 도입의 손익분기 면적은 드론의 기체 가격보다 방제횟수와 위탁영농비용의 변화에 민감하게 반응하였다. 드론 활용에 대한 인식도는 리커트 7점 척도로 조사하였으며, 전반적인 만족도는 6.5점, 드론의 지속적 사용 의지는 6.6점으로 높게 나타났다. 특히 농가의 노동력 절감 효과에 대한 만족도는 6.8점으로 매우 높게 나타났다. 반면, 드론 활용의 어려운 점으로는 드론의 배터리 수명이 짧은 점(6.5점)과 높은 기체 가격(5.9점), 비싼 보험료(5.8점) 등으로 응답하였다.

This study aims to analyze the economic feasibility of drones used to solve the agricultural labor shortage. We performed an economic feasibility analysis by calculating the cultivated area that forms the break-even point following the introduction of drones and conducted a survey on the perception of drone use. The survey was conducted on farms in Jeollabuk-do using drones. The break-even point analysis was conducted using the results of an in-depth survey on six farms in Jeollabuk-do. The results show that the break-even area of drone introduction was calculated to be 33.3 ha for conventional pesticide application farms and 53.8 ha for entrustment pesticide application farms. The calculated break-even area is the minimum cultivation area for introducing drones, and it means that there is no economic feasibility of introducing drones for farms with a smaller cultivated area than the break-even area. From a sensitivity analysis that changed the conditions affecting the introduction of drones, we found that the break-even area of the introduction of drones responds more sensitively to changes in the number of pest control times and consignment farming costs than to the price of drones. Awareness of drone use was surveyed on a 7-point Likert scale. The results showed that the overall satisfaction was 6.5 points, and the intention to continue using drones was found to be high at 6.6 points. In particular, the satisfaction with the labor-saving effect of farms was very high at 6.8 points. On the other hand, short battery life (6.5 points), high drone price (5.9 points), and high insurance premiums (5.8 points) were recognized as major difficulties in employing drones.
