Detailed investigation of the magnetic interaction as a function of temperature
Abstract: In the series R2PdSi3,the Nd compound is considered to be an anomalous as it orders ferromagnetically (TC= 16 K) with a weak frequency-dependent ac susceptibility (χ) features below ordering temperature, unlike other members of this series ordering antiferromagnetically. Recently we have studied Nd2PdSi3 and some of its solid solution which reveals strong hybridization between Nd 4f-electrons and conduction electrons and a competing nature of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions in this compound. The above results clearly emphasize the need for detailed investigation of the magnetic interaction as a function of temperature and field. So we want to perform the musr experiment of magnetic Nd2PdSi3 to understand the detailed magnetic interaction and low energy spin dynamics in this compound clearly .We therefore request 2 day of beam time on MUSR spectrometer on TS-1.
