Abstract:		 Trent and Peak Archaeology was commissioned by Bellway Homes to undertake archaeological excavation on land west of Workhouse Lane, Burbage prior to residential development of the site. Three broad phases of activity were identified: a cluster of Bronze Age pits, including urned cremations, a curvilinear enclosure of possible Iron Age date, and Roman linear boundary ditches.
