Abstract: |
Trenches revealed river terrace deposits (Kempton Park Gravels) cut by a north-south ditch that did not contain any artefacts, but was probably of prehistoric date. An undated subsoil horizon of silty clay covered the ditch. Several late post-medieval features, probably of 19th-century date, cut the subsoil. They comprised a crudely built brick-lined manhole, pits and other indeterminate cut features. |
