Abstract:		 During May 2005 Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd (ASC) carried out an archaeological trial trench evaluation on a site at Barbers Hill/ Holgate Lane, Werrington, Peterborough. The work was undertaken in advance of proposed residential redevelopment of the site. A total of eight trenches were excavated. Two undated features were revealed, no artefacts were recovered from the excavated spoil from these features or the trenches in general. In conclusion it seems likely that the area has remained largely undisturbed and undeveloped until now with the exception of the sparse features revealed.
