Revolución y republicanismo romano en Schiller y Hegel
Creators
Description
The present paper aims to study the presence of neo-Roman republicanism in the youth works of Hegel and Schiller. The first part deals with the modalities and reasons of the recovery of a Roman symbolism by the French revolutionaries. The second part deals with the coincidences and common sources between the Hegelian Unterredung and the Schillerian Fiesco. The last part analyses the study case of the political interpretation of rapes, inspired by the Roman models of Virginia and Lucretia, as a new possible way of reading Schiller’s dramas.
