Description

The technological changes that have occurred in recent decades have made organizations seek to update themselves in order to obtain better results and remain active in the market. In addition, the arrival of the new coronavirus and social isolation measures to contain the spread of the disease, forced the search for new means of work and communication to carry out the operational, managerial and strategic activities of organizations. Thus, information and communication technologies have enabled companies to find a new way of continuing to operate in the market. Given this context, this research aims to identify the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), as well as the organizational changes and innovations perceived by accounting offices located in the South and Southeast of the state of Pará during a pandemic period. The study is characterized as descriptive and quantitative, using a questionnaire (survey) as a data collection instrument, with statements on a Likert scale, with objective and argumentative questions about organizational change, information technology and innovation. The total number of respondents was 28 (15% of all accounting offices located in the region studied). Regarding the profile, the results indicate that the majority of respondents are male, aged between 21 and 40 years, have graduate degrees and have 6 to 12 years of experience in the market. Regarding the use of ICT during the pandemic period, most respondents indicated the need to use them more frequently, as they had to make use of different digital platforms during the pandemic to continue interacting with customers, also needing to implement new information and cloud systems. Thus, it is concluded that the use of ICT is essential for carrying out the company's activities, as well as the need for constant organizational changes and the generation of innovations.
