Description
* Hymenasplenium kenyense Li Bing Zhang, K.W.Xu & Kamau in Xu, Chen, Kamau, Liao & Zhang (2019: 36).
Holotype: — KENYA. Western Province: Kakamega, Kakamega Forest, Kisere Forest Reserve, 0°22’33’’N, 34°53’24’’E, 1650 m, in soil or on wet rocks along streams in primary forest, 22 September 2008, P.Kamau 41 (MO-6260287 [digital image!]).
New Record for Rwanda:— Western Province: Nyungwe NP, Cyamudongo Forest, Forest floor or on wet rocks near streams and waterfalls in montane forest, 1732 m, S2°33`04.03`` E28°59`48.58``, 4 April 2021, E.Fischer s.n. (KOBL); Nyungwe NP, road Pindura-Bweyeye km 10, in waterfall, 1865 m, S2°32’44.94’’ E29°14’27.56’’, 6 December 2021, E.Fischer s.n. (KOBL).
Habitat: —Forest floor or on wet rocks near streams and waterfalls in montane forest, elev. 1732–1865 m.
Distribution in Rwanda:—Western Province: Nyungwe NP, Cyamudongo Forest.
General distribution: —Africa: Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania.
