TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Wuzhishan, Wuzhi Shan, 9 May 1922, F. A. McClure 2942 (i.e. Canton Christian College Herbarium 9496) (syntype: PNH, destroyed, A 00105588 image!, A 00105589 image!, A 00056667 image!).
McClure 9496 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Acronychia oligophlebia Merr. (Merrill, 1923). However, the collecting number on the labels of the syntype specimens exist in A is 2942, while the herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 9496. Thus, the collecting number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
