Lonchaea species: Causton et al. 2006: 134 [introduced species]; Causton & Sevilla 2007: 145 [introduced species].
Distribution. Introduced. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz.
Material examined. Galápagos: Santa Cruz: El Garrapateto Road, Scalesia zone, 11.xi.2001, B.J. Sinclair (1 ♁, 2 ♀, ZFMK); El Garrapateto, littoral zone, 11.xi.2001, B.J. Sinclair (1 ♀, ZFMK). San Cristóbal: Cerro Gato, S00.9223420 W089.4691856, 9.iv.2004, J. Loayza. En cultivado Citrus sp. (3 ♁, 1 ♀, ZFMK).
Remarks. Due to its recent collection (2001), it represents a new human-aided introduction.
